Volunteer Spotlight: Mary Wolf
Mary has been a trained MVHR volunteer for over a year and likes doing all of the volunteer tasks. That’s lucky for us, because she not only holds a regular chore shift each week, she holds two and has for many months now.
A part-timer in Vail since 1990, Mary’s main residence was in suburban Chicago. She made the move to the valley full-time in 2015 and has been living in Eagle ever since. She discovered MVHR when her son, who was living with her at the time, encouraged her to check us out. The rest is history.
Mary has always loved horses and rode competitively in high school and college. At MVHR, she is especially fond of Latigo, whom she has sponsored since 2018. Giving back is important to her because the “Jr. League of Chicago trained me and instilled in me the responsibility of volunteering.” We’re so glad they did because her time and care of our Rescue horses have been invaluable.
Thank you, Mary, for being part of our MVHR volunteer family. And we know Latigo would want to thank you for being his wonderful sponsor!
