Today, on Giving Tuesday, we invite you to make your Colorado Gives Day donation in support of MVHR’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses in need!

In Colorado, Giving Tuesday marks a time for us to gear up for Colorado’s special day of giving: Colorado Gives Day. TODAY through Tuesday, December 5 we invite you to join the wave of generosity happening in Colorado and help us reach our goal of $75,000. This year, a generous, long time supporter has agreed to match every donation up to $20,000!

And your Colorado Gives Day donation goes even further, thanks to the Incentive Fund made possible by the Colorado Gives Foundation, FirstBank and other generous donors. Every nonprofit receiving a donation for Colorado Gives Day receives a portion of this fund, increasing the value of every dollar YOU donate.

MVHR’s waiting list of horses in need of a safe place to land shows no sign of slowing down. The average annual cost to provide basic care for one horse for one year is $6,000. Currently, we have 29 rescue horses at the ranch. Caring for the Rescue herd is a 24-hour job. There are no days off providing food, medicine, shelter, and training. Each leading to more successful adoptions making room for the next horses that needs our help. Your generous financial support makes all of this possible.
