So Very Thankful for the MVHR Community
If the horses could speak...
If the horses at MVHR could speak, they would say THANK YOU! Gratitude this time of year can be summed up in one word: Community! MVHR’s Mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses in need would not be possible without YOU, our Community.
Your commitment to caring - by volunteering, adopting, fostering, and donating - makes a difference to each and every one of the horses who find their way to MVHR, every day of the year.
So far in 2024, YOU have made possible:
63 Horses & Mules cared for at the ranch and by direct placement into new homes. Our largest number yet!
35 Intakes who began their Journeys of Hope at the ranch in McCoy.
28 Equines who have found loving adoptive homes after time spent at MVHR.
A growing core of Volunteers, through Community Volunteer Days and the Hopeful Hearts Program - more of you are making more of a difference in the lives of all of MVHR horses, every day of the year.
Expanding support to provide critical resources to meet not just the basic needs of the Rescue herd, like Veterinary & Farrier Care, Grain, and of course Hay, but also special care such acupuncture, chiropractic and even hospital and surgical care to completely support horses in recovery!!
Extensive Evaluation, Daily Training and Handling provided by MVHR staff alongside volunteers who help the horses learn every day about the kindness of people.
Over 410 Day-campers & 52 Scholarships, all who learned about horsemanship and MVHR’s mission.
101 Mini Horse Heroes; preschoolers enjoying their first interactions with horses.
A Large variety of Equine Educational & Service Programs for our community, schools, businesses and volunteers, growing our community of Horse Advocates through education and outreach.
The renovations of the Original Barn, which has create a dedicated and well equipped Intake and ICU facility for horses with the most critical needs.
A kick off to our 20th year helping horses that is already deeply impactful for both horses and people, thanks to you!!!
MVHR continues to thrive Thanks to YOU!
May you and your loved ones be healthy and happy this Holiday Season,
From All of us at Mountain Valley Horse Rescue
