The Ranch: Improvements in 2019 - Thanks to You
Some of you donated money, some gave hours and hours of free labor (a special shout-out to Larry and more than 30 volunteer helpers), and we had vendors who provided materials at cost: all resulting in a beautiful, permanent, protective Stackyard for hay – one of MVHR’s first priority Capital projects. This is critical, safe storage for our precious hay. Thanks to all of you, the Stackyard is a reality today!
A grant from the Yampa Valley Community Foundation allowed us to make some much needed irrigation improvements that will be utilized in 2020. Donations provided more stable footing for the round pen and training arena, contributing to our goal of rehabilitating more horses on a regular basis towards adoption. Volunteers also continued the sprucing up of our barn, including new barn doors throughout thanks Terry’s hard work and dedication.
Come check out the beautiful deck and cabin exterior! Lynn & Steve, from New Hampshire, visit every summer – for their vacation – and provide two weeks of dedicated work to whatever is needed at the Rescue. Every volunteer hour counts – feeding, mucking, grooming, cleaning, refinishing – and MVHR could not be so successful without all of You, our Volunteers.
